Baxter Board and Train day 1

Little Baxter is the wiz kid! We worked hard today and heel/auto sit is in the bag. We also learned down from the front and at the side. This morning down from the front (that is down with a hand signal when the handler is NOT right next to the dog) but by this afternoon Baxter was laying down like a champ. The implied stay is coming right along. We also started work on recall today and tomorrow or the next day we are going to start working on a long-line out side with more distractions.
This cuddlebug sure does like to try to charm his way out of work. During his last workout he was getting a little bit tired and so when I asked him to lay down he did it, but he curled up and pretended to fall asleep. I have a feeling the real work is going to begin when it comes time to move outdoors to a place

In regards to the comment about when the real work will happen.. You got that right!! Distractions are his weakness! So happy to see these updates! It's such a nerve calmer!
