Well, Mr. Bear goes home tomorrow. We took a video of his training to show his mom when he goes home and took some glamour shots of him for his Yearbook picture.
Bear now has a solid foundation in on-leash obedience and behaves well on a leash. He enjoys working and having something asked of him, even if he sometimes chooses to misbehave. His owner must simply be committed to make it count and not let little misbehavior so become bad habits.
I will miss Bear. As I said a few days ago, he is my kind of dog and I have greatly enjoyed our week together. He has made good buddies and learned a lot. However, he is a dog who wants to be with his person and so will be happy to get home. Life in a kennel, even ones as nice as mine, does not suit these dogs for long.
