Boomer is doing great. He had his first off-leash workout with his shock collar and was great. We made it fun and easy for him and just did the Come command and Okay but he still did a very good job. With Heel, Down, Stay and Sit he is pretty solid to varying degrees. His Down/Stay is a little sloppy as he likes to ooze across the snow on his belly to get to your feet but with a swift correction he shapes up.
He is adapting well to the training and his manners are getting better. He is an impulsive dog. He has stopped jumping up on me and my husband but new people who give him attention are still a source of great temptation. We will continue working on this throughout the coming week.
I am proud of Boomer. He is a great young dog and with his family investing in his now he will be stellar when he is older.
