Well the chilly temperatures changed our down town plans. Butch is not exactly a brave fellow when it comes to being out in the cold. But he is doing great and on Thursday when it was REALLY cold we mostly worked indoors. We did a lot of Placemat and he is up to around 1.5 hours without a correction on his mat. We worked on his Implied Stay and that is doing much better. It is just about where I want it in the house. Outside he still assumes we are going for a walk at all times so he still gets some corrections for hopping up from an Implied Stay when he shouldn't. But he is getting better.
His other obedience is pretty well on point. Tomorrow we are going to take his go-home video to show his folks what he knows now and what it should look like. I anticipate a lot of enthusiasm when he gets picked up so we take the video so his people can get an idea of our goals even if the dog is being silly.
He is right where I would want him to be after 5 days. We are taking tomorrow to clean up his commands and make sure he is as good as he can be. Right now he is trying to tease a sleepy Ace into playing with him and I'm afraid Ace is stubbornly insisting on a nap instead. I'll toss them out to the yard here soon and hopefully Butch will get some play time from his buddy then.
