Charles is doing quite well. He has been introduced to all of his commands and he is getting more reliable every day. He is still easy to over correct but he is taking things less personally. He still sometimes tries to lay down instead of sit when told to but he is getting better. Really his biggest point of difficulty is the heel. He is not ready for an off-leash heel yet (I would be shocked if he were) because he still gets -so- distracted. He tries hard but he still makes mistakes and accidentally wanders off or pulls a little. But every workout there is progress.
We introduced him to his remote trainer today and he took to it better than I initially thought he would. I was worried it would scare him but so long as the stimulation is kept very low he responds favorably. We worked mostly on Come today with the remote trainer and we kept it very light hearted and game-like in the yard. I plan to make it more challenging as the days go on.
Over all I am very proud of Charles and want his family to know he is working hard but also having fun. Good boy, Charles!
