Cooper Board and Train day 5

Cooper is doing very well. He has hit the halfway point in his time with us and he is right on track. He has been introduced to all of his commands and he is transitioning nicely to his electronic collar. His Placemat is doing very well, especially considering his age. He has been able to hold Place for an hour so far without making more than a couple mistakes, usually after waking up from a nap.
He had his first off-leash workout with the electronic collar today and after sorting out some minor confusion he really enjoyed it. It is always a happy day when the physical leash comes off. He has wanted to run and play with the other dogs so badly for the past week and before his workouts today we let him zoom around gleefully with Ace and Max and a great time was had by all.
Tomorrow we are going to try to not use a physical leash at all and see how he does. If he needs it we can put the leash back on to remind him of where he is supposed to be. Some dogs need a reminder like this and some do not. It all depends on the dog. But little Cooper loves his new job and he is usually pretty attentive, especially now that he is starting to understand that bolding or darting around does not avoid a correction anymore, it just gets him into trouble.
He is a good boy and I feel like he will just enjoy things more and more as we get more and more advanced with h
