Delia is doing fine. We are keeping things pretty low key so far because we have the extra time and so we spent today doing basic obedience. She seems to have at least a simple understanding of a few commands, like Sit and Down (kind of), and so we are just practicing the basics while we increase her focus. She got a few Autosits after the Heel today which was a nice bit of progress from yesterday. She is a fast learner and she seems to enjoy the work.
It was pretty cold today and so we spent a good chunk of the day in the house and she was a delight. Other than trying to drink the houseplant's water and carrying a book she found from one room to the other she has been a very polite house guest.
I am afraid she is a little bored and lonely in her kennel and she started chewing on her mat and so I took that away. I may get her a Nylabone for her to work on during the boring hours in her kennel. They are a saving grace for Ace, our heavy chewer. And sometimes dogs that don't normally like bones really get into them when they are spending time in a kennel.
She has a roommate arriving tomorrow morning so that will be nice for her to have a buddy.
