Hamilton Board and Train day 1

Hamilton is a young male Labrador mix. He is a sweet and funny guy with a bit of separation anxiety and some bad manners he needs to overcome. This will all start with getting some obedience training under his belt and then we will tackle any remaining rude behaviors. Many times rude behaviors dry up once some discipline has been introduced.
Hamilton is very receptive to physical praise. He loves a good chest scratch and makes good soft eye contact. I made the decision to put him on a pinch collar. He is used to pulling pretty hard on his flat collar and so the person at the end of the leash is kind of an afterthought for him. The pinch collar (fitted properly) gives him just enough incentive to listen and focus without being over bearing. Balanced with praise he is already Heeling very nicely and will sit when we stop if I ask him to. He already knows the word Sit but is not very consistent yet.
I am looking forward to watching Ace and Hamilton play all week. They have already formed a "bromance" this morning and are good buddies. This suits Kylie just fine because she doesn't like to partake in the indignity that is involved when playing with Ace. She is a but too much of a snob sometimes.
For the rest of the day we are going to push Heel/Autosit and Implied Stay. Tomorrow we are going to reenforce Down and Come. His crate training will also being tomorrow.
