Saturdays are my busiest weekly lesson days so I didn't work with Hank and Scarlet as much as I will on a normal work day but they did get introduced to their training collars and we started basics. Scarlet threw a little temper tantrum at first but settled into walking just fine and other than play bowing and being cute to see if she could tease me into playing instead of working she did great. Hank was very stoic for our first workout and acted a little above it all but he was generous and listened well. He enjoys praise and solicited a lot so I feel like once he gets that I will pat him for good obedience he will really enjoy it.
Tomorrow there won't be a blog post but on Monday they will get their first really truly work day and so look to that post for an update.
PS- I have had Scarlet in a quad lock kennel and so far she has not been able to get out of it (I have taken it as a personal challenge to find a crate to contain this puppy as she isn't stopped by most kennels). We'll see if she gets more creative. I do need to spray some bitter bite on the lip of the kennel because she is chewing/licking it a lot.
