Big day for Lasso! We introduced her to her remote collar and gave her her first long-line workouts. She is responsive to the collar and it makes a HUGE difference in her household shenanigans. It helps get her to drop things she has picked up instead of running around playing the "catch me" game and it helps her to stay relaxed when she gets excited about things like the door or meal time.
Learning patience has been difficult for her and she gets nervous about being physically corrected but this collar does not involve her handler being physically overbearing and so it seems actually a little less stressful for her than traditional corrections. It seems to hurt her feelings less which is always a nice thing.
Her obedience is coming along nicely and she is still her sweet, cuddly, self. I hope to take the leash off either tomorrow or possibly on Monday but we won't work outside the fence until next week for sure.
