Well our friend Nala is all ready to go back home. Her obedience has been cleaned up nicely, she now walks beautifully on a leash and she is more focused and attentive.
She also now has some self restraint but she does still have a very high prey drive and so will need some practice before she should be allowed off leash where there are likely to be bunnies. She is a very sweet dog but we are dealing with some pretty incredible doggy ADD and so some patience on the part of her owners is in order. Her tendency towards getting distracted is part of who she is and as she matures she will likely be able to focus a little more. 30-45 minutes of focused exercise a day has done wonders for her energy level.
We will miss this girl's antics when she goes home. She has kept us entertained all week! But I am sure she will be thrilled to be back home with her family. Goldens are, after all, the ultimate family dog.
