Penny Board and Train day 3

Penny is coming along so well. Her ability to absorb new commands and retain them is impressive. Her biggest hurtle is the fact that she has little if any self restraint. Implied Stay is difficult for her. But her basic, on-leash, obedience is pretty sharp now so I am going to introduce her remote trainer tomorrow and see how she does.
We all thought she looked like a pointer when she got dropped off but after seeing her facial expressions and the way she moves she is reminding me more and more of a boxer or bullmastiff mix every day. She is definitely athletic like a boxer.
I hope to get a video of her progress tomorrow to post to Facebook so that her people can see how much she has learned (or remembered, sometimes she acts like she kind of, sort of, knew some of this stuff at one point in her life.
Penny is a good girl and she is being a polite house guest (though I did have to shame her for sticking her nose in the kitchen trash today).

I'm really proud of Penny. Hopefully, she can learn more about the things being taught to her. She seems like a smart dog and I'd love to read more about her. I wish that I can adopt a healthy dog as Penny someday. I wish you guys the luck and I hope that you further nurture Penny's growth.
