Roxy is here! Roxy is an adult Bull Terrier who I have actually been working with for a few weeks now, along with her owner. Roxy's obedience is pretty good already so she is here for upkeep, to keep her from backsliding on her skills while her mom is out of town and also for some dog-to-dog socialization.
She has had a hard time getting along with her adoptive doggie siblings and while those relationships are getting better it will do her some good to live with my pack for a whole. They have a well established pecking order and often have helped me socialize dogs who don't have good experiences with other dogs.
Today we just focused on getting Roxy settled. She is having a very typical reaction to being tossed into an established pack, she is acting a bit scared and overwhelmed but not aggressive. Keep in mind that my dogs are all larger than her.
Tomorrow the real work begins and she will get obedience work outs and Placemat practice.
