Smokey did such a good job today. He wore his collar all day today and only needed a few reminders not to surf the counters. He also stayed on Place for almost an hour today with toddler and husband coming and going and other dogs milling around.
We worked on his obedience (specifically Down, Stay and Come) and he made progress on all of it. Down is a struggle for him and he gets pouty but he does it if you make him. He is a sweet guy who really works that cute Weimaraner face and tries to "cute" his way out of work sometimes. But if you don't fall for it he really does try to get the answer right. Tomorrow we are doing more of the same and working on his leash manners. It is the hope to wean him off of his pinch collar soon. Whether or not it happens his week depends on him and how well he responds to his remote with big distractions around.
