The Wonder Twins had a great day today. We did a quick rehash of their basics we gave them last week and we're ready to move on to the really fun stuff. They are getting their first field trip to the Farm tomorrow for an opportunity to work on off-leash recall (that's a fancy way of saying we're gonna go run around and play in the field while I call them back occasionally).
House manners are also coming along nicely. They stayed on their Placemats for an hour today with normal household activity (adults and toddler coming and going, the other dogs were milling around as well). We started working on the "back" command at the door to give a person entering or exiting room to move without being jumped on. The only hitch here is that Stella and Sparky are not nearly as excited about my husband as they are about their people. But we can get the foundation laid at least. I plan to have some super fun strangers stop by throughout the week to practice these door manners.
