Every day Stuart gets more and more reliable and more and more responsive. He is really impressing me after his stubborn first 2 days. Don't get me wrong, he can still be a stick in the mud sometimes but he really seems to be enjoying the training more. His walks are very enjoyable now if he wears his pinch collar. Without it he will pull hard if he gets what I call "bunny brain" where he gets some sort of smell in his nose and he wants to track it. But his pinch collar help keep his enthusiasm in check.
All of his commands are fairly reliable now and they just need to become a way of life for him. They shouldn't be party tricks that only come out occasionally, rather they should be an every day part of his routine.
I unfortunately did not have time to take both boarders down town today and since Daisy is going home tomorrow Stuart had to wait his turn. If the weather cooperates I should be able to get Stuart down town tomorrow for a walk to make sure his training holds even with urban distractions.
Tomorrow we will also be taking Stuart's go-home video and his picture for the website as we prepare to send Stuart home to his people. You're doing a fine job, Stuart!
