Toto is still doing quite well. His Implied Stay is getting better. His Down is making strides though he still toils with it quite a bit. Down can be difficult for little dogs to grasp. I hope to have it cleaned up by the time he goes home but I fear he will still be a bit slow about it. But I refuse to lower my expectations for this little guy. He can do it.
Today we went to PetCo and walked around their isles doing our obedience. We saw a bunch of puppies in the parking lot and one other dog in the store. He got a little growly but a correction ended it. He wanted to be picked up but I made him walk in a Heel past the puppies. The other dog left before we got a chance to walk by it but I am confident he would have done fine.
Tomorrow we are going to really push the Down command. We are also taking our final exam (a walk down Massachusetts street) to prove what a good little gentleman he can be. We are also taking his go-home video tomorrow.
I am looking forward to tomorrow. I think he will surprise us with his field trip down town. Maybe I will get some video of him strutting around Mass. For now we are going to try Down once more before Placemat practice and bed time.
