Milo Board and Train day 7

My sweet pal Milo goes home tomorrow. I'm pleased with how far he has come and excited for all the learning he still gets to do. He knows his basics and he wants to be the best boy he can be but he will have that puppy ADD for a bit still and that's okay. His sweet nature means he wants to please first and foremost and so he'll settle into being a truly lovely adult dog if his folks simply keep high standards for him.
Tomorrow it's all about play and getting good and tired (and hopefully not too terribly dirty) before he goes home. His owners won't really have homework to practice his obedience with him as much as their homework will be to work his obedience into his daily life. Instead of having him think he needs to do his obedience for 10 minutes a day I want him to think "they might need me to work at any time" and that will help lay a foundation of responsiveness that his owners want from him. Plus it's easier to fit commands into his day here and there than it is to carve out loads of practice time.
I like Milo. He was a fun dog to train and he's as charming as they get. I'm excited to see how well he does in his follow ups. He's definitely one I'm excited to watch grow up.
