Zeus Board and Train day 2

How do you know you have a great dane in the house? There is nothing on any coffee tables and your upper legs have bruises. I swear Zeus has some serious strength in his tail. Being a happy guy his size can leave a mark on the legs of those around him. Luckily he is also becoming quite the well trained fellow so he is getting easier to control.
He came to training knowing the general idea of most of his commands. What we are working on now is staying power. He is not good at stay at all. But we are pushing all of his commands to help him gain some self restraint (keep in mind, though he is huge he is still quite a young dog and some of this behavior WILL get better with age. I promise.) He can do all of his commands without a leash except Heel. His Heel off-leash is pretty terrible. I will use the leash to help guide him for a few more workouts and then try again. He stays close but he doesn't yet stay on the left. Funny enough, even if he has just bounded a couple yards in front of me when he was supposed to be in a Heel, if I stop he sits down wherever he is. Good try, bud, but not quite correct.
Zeus is working hard and trying to be a good boy. He has been a very pleasant houseguest so far, even with a few clumsy moments in the house. Good boy!
