Delia Board and Train day 3

More good news for Delia. We have introduced almost all of her commands. I am going to try her on a long line tomorrow and see if we can't put her on the remote trainer earlier than planned. The long line will give her 20 feet of mistake making potential and so it is a kind of test to see if she is ready for her remote trainer. I always like getting the dogs onto their remote collars as soon as possible simply because it does give them more opportunities for fun and play (and exercise) throughout the day. We don't want to do it too early but if Delia is ready we can give it a try tomorrow and see how it goes. What's nice is that if we try it and she isn't ready (ie, her recall isn't solid enough for it to be safe to remove the leash) we can always take a step back and go back to the leash without being off schedule.
Delia is such a sweetheart, she really wants to get the right answer. She struggles with not chasing the cat and other small-and-fluffies and so the remote trainer will be a good wake up call for her. All in all, she is doing a good job.
I had to take her bed away completely as she attempted to dissect it so I gave her a cot which can't be easily destroyed so she would have a place to rest off of the concrete.
