Dexter is making good progress. Today's weather meant we worked on house manners and Placemat a lot today. He stayed on his mat with only a little pouting while I cooked dinner, ate with the family, and cleaned up after and he did not get up.
His obedience commands are at the point that I am comfortable transitioning him to his remote trainer. I am going to introduce it tomorrow and see how he responds. He is a sensitive dog who boarders on almost timid so we are going to be careful not to scare him. But I think he will enjoy the freedom it gives him. However, the leash won't be coming off for another couple of days. We want to be certain he understands what to do before we take the leash off. Safety first!
I have a full day of lessons tomorrow but we should be able to get in at least a little work with his collar. I look forward to updating on his progress.
