Matilda Board and Train day 5

Cute little Mattie goes home tomorrow but only for the weekend. She is back on Monday to finish her training. We have introduced her remote and it took some adjusting for her. She thinks she can avoid corrections by hiding or by running through all commands except for the one I asked for. So the fact that the remote means she absolutely can't avoid a correction is throwing her off a bit. But she had a really great work out today and she finally seems to be understanding that she can still get her praise if she listens and focuses, which can be hard for a puppy to do.
Mattie is a sensetive dog and takes a low level of correction to get her attention so that is nice. In fact, she seems more bothered by the vibration than the static shock from the collar.
She is going home just in her little training martingale though. I don't want her folks to worry about practicing with her. She is going home for some rest and snuggles. I only expect for house rules to be followed and basic manners to be insured upon. Things like sitting to be fed, not pulling on the leash, and not jumping up. She may try to misbehave when she goes home so it is important that the rules be upheld by everyone to avoid confusing her. But she is a bright little super star and I know she will be up for getting back to work on Monday.
