We took Mia's go-home video today to show her folks what she has learned. She has come quite a long way and I am proud of her. She still has some growing up to do and her people will want to make sure her skills become a way of life for her. She enjoyed being my helper today during most of my lessons (including being the good example for a VERY lively Great Dane) and after she napped on Placemat for a few hours.
Mia is a special girl. She wants to get the answer right and sometimes in her haste to do so she guesses incorrectly about what you want, or she anticipates what your next command will be. But it all stems from wanting your approval. She will no doubt develop into a very amenable adult dog. She just needs support and leadership from her people and she will happily meet their expectations.
