Wiggle wiggle wiggle! Molly is such a happy girl! She was struggling with Heel but finally got it late today. She isn't perfect (it is, after all, only day two) but she is starting to finally understand what it is I am asking her to do. She is sitting automatically now, though she usually wiggles so much that she ends up facing me with a big doodle grin on her face as if to say "look! I got the answer right! Time for pets?"
We also introduced Down and Stay today. Down is so-so. She seems to have an idea already of what it means but she has no concept of Implied Stay. Once she goes down she pops back up and is ready to play today. We spent 30 minutes today working on staying down once down. Her attention span is basically nonexistent so part of my job this week will be helping her learn how to focus.
Tomorrow we are going to push her new commands a little further and hopefully it will be dry enough for a hike in the woods. If not we will exercise on the road but that isn't as fun. She is doing great right now and we are really enjoying her.
