Cute little Shawna is here for a week of basic obedience. She is a small girl with a big personality and so far she is really enjoying her work. We started Heel/Autosit, Implied Stay (this is hard), Come and Down. Implied Stay and Down are still pretty vague but she is catching on. She loves to jump up for attention and so we are working on her not celebrating too much when she gets praised and also on sitting when we want to be petted.
Shawna is gonna be a very fun little dog to train. She enjoys being the center of attention and is a happy little love sponge when she gets the answer right. At the same time it doesn't hurt her feelings when she gets the answer wrong so she doesn't need much building back up.
Tomorrow we are continuing with her new commands and trying to work on her impulsivity with the jumping up and some barking habits she has. This is gonna be a very cute week with her!
