Okay can we talk for a minute about how cute Frenchies are? Because seriously I'm smitten with this little bloke. He is a charming young french bulldog boy who genuinely enjoys making people laugh. He is also a bulldog, however and so he is super bullheaded and a little stubborn. He isn't defiant though. He is just a little bit of a buffalo. He doesn't understand that you're not having a great time right along with him during his shenanigans.
Today we introduced Stewie to his new pinch collar and started him learning his on-leash obedience. We started with loose leash walking and the Heel command with an automatic Sit. He got the Heel rather fast and the autosit he will likely start getting really smoothly tomorrow. We did the Down command today as well as the Implied Stay and he needs help with Down but the Implied Stay he surprised me on and he got that nicely right away.
Tomorrow we are going to continue along this same thread and also add Come to the mix. Placemat will probably be started on Wednesday as well as some other manners we need him to learn along the way. I am really enjoying this little piglet as are my kids who think he is just the cutest. More on Stewie tomorrow!
