Zeus Board and Train day 1

Zeus reminds me of a baby horse. He is sweet and playful and tends to knock stuff over. He doesn't seem to realize he has an entire (Great Dane sized) back end he is supposed to be controlling. That said, even though he isn't quite a creature of grace, Zeus comes to me already knowing the basic commands. He is a bit of a stinker and he will try to cute his way out of work, or he will just drop anchor (flop over onto his side as if asking him to sit is absolutely killing him) and refuse to move. But if you remind him that he is, in fact, having fun he hops back up and does more work. 
The short version is that this is a Great Dane puppy. They are smart but they always have to have the last work. Always. I can already tell I will be laughing a lot this week with Zeus. He is here to clean up his obedience for 7 days and to work on his off-leash training on his Dogtra remote trainer.
He is already able to play without a physical leash on. Which is nice because there is quite the bromance brewing between him and Ace. But he is still wearing a leash for his workouts just to keep him working appropriately. I expect the leash will come off in a few days.
For now he is howling in his kennel waiting for his last chance potty of the evening. Will he and his kennel-mate Ziva sing all night? We shall see. It is actually kind of a pretty sound, so that's nice.
